Now if you're reading this advertisement then you're obviously very familiar with the piece of automotive history you're looking at, nonetheless, a brief history of this particular model is detailed below:

The Mercedes Benz W124 500E is endowed with a 5.0 litre V8 32 valve engine producing 322 bhp & 480 N·m (354 lb·ft) of torque, usually found in the R129 SL500 of that era A vehicle developed and produced jointly between Mercedes Benz & Porsche to conquer BMW's hand-built E34 M5, the build quality of the 500E was the pinnacle of Mercedes Benz craftmanship. Whilst other models of the W124 were built in 3 days, the E500 took 18 days each to build, with the shell being built & painted first, then taken to Porsche for fitting of mechanicals, in fact they were assembled on the Porsche 959 supercar production line in Zuffenhausen then shipped back to Mercedes and then back to Porsche throughout the build. Each was car was assembled by hand, so although visually the 500E resembles it's slightly lesser siblings, it has many, many differences making this vehicle really rather special indeed!!

This particular vehicle has spent it's entire life in the car friendly country of Japan where the salt free roads and the hot, dry climate make it an ideal place to source such vehicles. Finished in brilliant silver with full black perforated leather and polished burr walnut interior trim, it's factory specification includes Lorinser 1" (wider rears) two piece light alloy wheels fitted with recent Dunlop tyres, air conditioning, electrically operated front seats with 2x stage heating, electrically operated slide and tilt sunroof in steel, cruise control, electric rear roller blind, headlamp cleaning, remote folding rear head restraints, front centre armrest, electric windows x4 and electric mirrors, outside temp indicator, front foglights etc.

Since initial registration, the car has the addition of a Lorinser sport exhaust unleashing the full unadulterated V8 burble in addition to E500 cosmetic upgrades, namely a facelift bonnet and clear front and rear lenses. Originally a European car but exported to the car friendly country of Japan back in 1997 where it has resided ever since, where their salt free raods and 'dry state' ensure this car has no rust or other corrosion!! The mileage of 109,000KM (64,000 miles) is substantianted by a Japanese maintenance record and all in all, this car is in excellent all round condition!!

Prior to delivery to it's new owner, this 500E will have a full service and health check by a Mercedes Benz main agent and any items deemed specific will be attended to. It is offered today with all associated documentation, service books and maintenance record, handbooks and spare keys. A UK V5C registration document is also present along with a fresh MOT certificate that shows no advisory items and a HPI clearance certificae will accompany the vehicle.
